Which Comedy Duo is Reuniting One Last Time?
You know them from box-office hits such as Step Brothers and Talladega Nights.
Will Ferrel and John C. Reilly are reuniting in a new historical comedy titled Holmes & Watson.
Looking to be a fresh departure from the more serious adaptations like Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock and Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlock Holmes, Ferrel and Reilly aim to make light of this crime solving duo. Originally, the studio wanted Ferrell to star along side Sacha Baron Cohen, his other co-star in Talladega Nights. But when that project stalled, it was quickly renewed with Reilly filling the vacancy.
The new film will be produced by Mosaic and directed by Etan Cohen, who helped pen Idiocracy and Tropic Thunder.
Finally, fans get what they’ve been after for years. Another popcorn-flick comedy with two of the funniest men on the big screen. Although many will tell you they’d rather see a sequel to Step Brothers, many are just happy they’ll see the two stars reunite for another go. This movie has big shoes to fill, but with a cast and crew this talented we’re looking forward to what they can offer.
Ferrell’s most recent hit was Daddy’s Home with Mark Wahlberg, while you can catch Reilly in the much anticipated reboot Kong: Skull Island.
